Description: Zeppelin overhead (German film). Englishmen clear up rubble from bombed terraced housing in Yarmouth. Pan over similar damage in Kings Lynn (Norfolk) where rescue workers and police are on the scene and two soldiers point to crater caused by Zeppelin bomb. A line of Red Cross ambulances sets off from London for the damaged areas. Damaged seafront buildings in Scarborough (Yorkshire) include the Lighthouse, Grand Hotel (with Bass beer advertisement in window) and a large cinema, the Grand Picture House. Title notes that Whitby Abbey, built in 616, has long been a ruin; two Englishmen nevertheless point out damage accidentally caused to ruins by German shelling. Print concludes with portrait of man in civilian dress (Kaiser Wilhelm II?).
