Summary: Torpedo launch trials and views onboard the 70 foot PV70 motor torpedo boat (MTB) prototype.
Description: I. A series of torpedo tube launches from land to water, with shots of the PV70 prototype motor torpedo boat (MTB), with close-ups of the crew members at the stern of the boat by the gun blisters with evidence of some damage to the boat. A 16 foot "Jolly" boat is also seen mooring up. Shots of the crew and other onlookers.
II. The PV70 MTB at sea doing wide turns and laying down smoke. Shots of the front half of the PV70 armed with torpedo tubes undertaking launching trials (slow motion camera). The PV70 undertaking launching trials in a quay and then at sea in rough weather (torpedo curves off course). Launching trials, from the side of a sailing barge (after each trial is a number board is shown - first number is 348 last number is 391)
