Description: View down the port side of a 70 foot PV70 prototype Motor torpedo Boat (MTB), followed by a view over the bow from the bridge as the boat moves out from the harbour into the Solent. The PV70 idling in the water and then motoring up to speed. A series of runs by the PV70 past the camera boat (shot in poor light so the PV70 is often seen in silhouette). Views from the bow of the PV70 to the water, showing the step in the hull and showing the effect of the step as the boat turns in the water. Footage of the PV70 motoring at 2,200 RPM and then at 2,600 RPM, (indicated by marker boards noting the RPM values). Footage from onboard the PV70 in rough seas near the Isle of Wight.
