Description:i) 'Almondsbury Grammar School Sports Day, 1939': Scenes from sports day at local grammar school later attended by Guy and George junior. Activities include high jumping, hurdles, shot putting, relay race and 'tug-o-war'. (Colour)
ii) 'Holiday at Prestatyn August 1939': Family holiday to the Welsh seaside resort of Prestatyn. Journey to destination made by car, passing through the town of Oldham, and the city of Liverpool including the Mersey Tunnel. Holiday includes a visit to the Coastguard station, and a trip to Rhyl. Scenes include children riding tricycles, playing in a paddling pool and on the beach, steam train running along parallel to the sea, and small bi-plane landing on the beach. (B&W)
