Popular landmarks visited include St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, the Cenotaph in Whitehall, Trafalgar Square and Admiralty Arch. Two years after the end of the Second World War, the damage caused by the bombing raids is still very much evident. George junior recalls how seeing the bomb damage was a real eye-opener for the two boys, who had seen very little of the war living in Huddersfield.
