Summary: Compilation of sequences from 1940 Ufa newsreels covering the Wehrmacht's offensive against the Low Countries and France.
Description: The film covers assault river crossings over the Waal(?) and Maas in Holland and the Aisne in France, parachute drops by Fallschirmjäger units, bombing by Stukas and other medium bombers. Motorised and armoured formations are seen advancing through the Ardennes, there are scenes in Dunkirk showing wrecked vehicles and guns, destroyed buildings and captured British and French troops and there are shots of captured sections of the Maginot line. There are many sequences featuring artillery of all kinds.
