Description: 1941. The film opens with brief views of the countryside followed by footage of the children of Hepworth School. Six young children, wrapped in blankets, asleep on camp beds in a school playground . Small children doing somersaults on a mat in the school playground. Children running and jumping in a circle in the playground. Brief view of a group of young children walking away from the camera (each carrying a gas mask box ). Group of children playing various musical instruments, triangle, drums, bells, tambourines and cymbals. Children standing in the playground drinking (milk?) from cups using straws. Group of children exercising in the playground, "jumping jacks", touching their toes, squatting with their arms outstretched, "bunny jumping", "wheel-barrows" and "tug-of-war". Close-ups of several young girls sewing.

Brass Band leading a parade of children and adults wearing all sorts of fancy dress, (including a man on horseback dressed as King Henry VIII followed on foot by his six wives). Prize winners for the decorated bicycle and decorated pram competitions. Close-up shot of a small boy dressed as a drummer.
