French language version of a newsreel item on General Sir Herbert Plumer, GOC Second Army, decorating British nurses in a field near Blendecques, Western Front, 26th June 1918. III. French language version of a newsreel item on Lloyd George at the National Eisteddfod at Neath, Wales, August 1918.
- Description: The party tables stretch up and down the street. Helpers give gifts and cards to the children. Plumer (back to camera) pins the medals on the line of four nurses. The captions say that the nurses are receiving the "Médaille Militaire" for their courage when the Germans bombed their hospitals. The ceremonies open with a procession of women and girls in Welsh national costume. The Chief Druid mounts a slab of stone to deliver the address. Lloyd George talks with the Mayor of Neath and inspects a parade of soldiers. The watching crowd cheers Lloyd George. He shakes hands with three soldiers in hospital blues (note the press photographers at work).
