Description: Title "HELSTON FURRY" a brass band leads the processional dance through the crowded streets of Helston. The women dancers are wearing smart, short, summer dresses and short white gloves, the male dancers are wearing dark trousers, white shirts and dark ties. Both men and women are wearing a floral button-hole, probably of lily-of-the valley. Further shots of the band, dancers and onlookers. Long shot of the procession passing a funfair. High angle shot of the band and dancers. Older man carrying a bassoon walking next to a boy carrying an oboe followed by a group of boys, one dressed as St George, another dressed as Friar Tuck (?) with others carrying branches of sycamore. Two policeman leading a procession headed by a brass band and including young boys and girls, dressed in white, doing a version of the processional dance seen earlier. Brief dark shots of older boys and girls dancing. Further shot of the processional dancers dressed in white. Further shots of the child dancers, followed by shot of the younger and older child dancers standing in a group. More shots of the brass band led by the two policemen followed by the young child dancers and then the older dancers. High angle overhead shot of the procession of dancers.
