Description: 00:00. Iranian television. Narrated sequence of short military clips including military exercises and footage from the Iran-Iraq war.
02:30. Iranian television. Prayer meeting in what resembles a theatre. Possible commemoration ceremony.
09:00. Iranian television. Programme on what appears to be an Officer's passing out parade. Set on enclosed parade ground with visiting dignitaries, including Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. Parade passing what appears to be a small wall of commemoration to the fallen, possibly from that unit or school and probably from the Iran - Iraq war. Followed by prayers and speeches, then medal presentation and pinning promotional shoulder epaulettes to uniforms. Martial arts demonstration follows, then close combat demonstration using swords and G3 rifles, then both mixed in together. Poster written in English is visible, expressing concern for the fate of Muslims in Bosnia and therefore dating it to the 1992-1995 period. President gives a speech between 32:40 and 39:55 after which the TV presenter rounds the programme up.
