Description: Reel 1: (box marked Mr Coloner Charrington A Sqn Last Musical Ride 1929. Duplicate) Mounted lancers ride past on parade ground (with distinctive Martello-type tower visible) then perform to musical accompaniment of band a series of wheeling manoeuvres (after conversion from cavalry to armoured cars in 1928). Spectators, including woman wearing cloche hat, watch.
Reel 2: (taken largely by Lt Col R McDonnell of 9th Lancers - according to note on box by original owner, Michael G de Burgh, March 1983) Ski scenes at Davos, Switzerland. Carden-Loyd tankettes on road (used for initial training after conversion from cavalry to tanks in 1936), officers during exercise in countryside in Britain, carriers through garrison town and into large hangar. Lancer officer emerges from garrison house in full rig. Tattoo parade with historical recreations of lancers. Band parades through garrison town, followed by kilted pipe band. (ca 1935)
