Description: I. Sculptor Philip Jackson and David Vallance continue to inspect the small maquette of the statue showing the hand "bursting" out of the ground. Close-ups of the maquette, including details of the "net" which, on the finished sculpture, will contain thousands of Iranian army helmets. Close-up also of the crate, with an "Iraqi Airways - London" sticker. Philip Jackson makes drawings on a draughtsman's easel, using the small maquette for reference.
II. Workshop scenes: sections of the full scale maquette of the hand are worked on, the polystyrene being sculpted by an electric saw. A wooden frame is set up prior to final assembly of the maquette.
