Summary: Continuation of interview, in English, with sculptor Mohammed Ghani.
Description: Ghani talks about Saddam Hussein's reactions to the changes in the design, and how he wanted the arches to be "a symbol for the future" and a reminder that Iraq "won the war". Discussion of the symbology of the hands coming out of the earth ("always ready for the defence of Iraq") and of the net containing Iranian helmets, an allusion to the ancient Mesopotamian practice of keeping something belonging to the enemy. The inclusion of Saddam's thumbprint on the statue is also mentioned. The building and casting was taking place in England because "we had to find the best foundry".
