Summary: A test tower is set up at Charles Henshaw and Sons, Edinburgh, architectural metalworkers, for the test assembly of one of the Hands of Victory.
Description: Test sections of the newly-cast hands lie in the yard (undersides up). Two men (David Vallance of Morris Singer and a representative from Charles Henshaw) walk past and enter a scaffolding clad with protective material. Inside is the metal framework of the base of the sculpture, seen before the bronze sections have been applied. The two men test the fittings and discuss how the bronze panels may be fixed.
