Summary: A test tower is set up at Charles Henshaw and Sons, Edinburgh, architectural metalworkers, for the test assembly of one of the Hands of Victory.
Description: I. Shots of the metal framework of the base of the sculpture, seen before the various sections have been applied.
II. Panoramic views of the area around the yard at Charles Henshaw, including shots of nearby Donaldson College, Edinburgh.
III. Interview with David Vallance of Morris Singer. He discusses the state of the sculpture up to that point, noting that the hand is being built and "tested out on a temporary tower". He also talks about steel towers for the sculpture which are being constructed in Germany, but notes that the project is a month to six weeks behind schedule. He discusses the progress of the building of the base in Iraq, and also of some of the problems that have been faced (including a miscalculation of the level of contraction of the bronze plates).
