Description: [17:07:12] - "Hurricane Crossing Tel pole." Ground shot of a Hurricane flying over the cameraman's head. Camera follows it into the distance.
[17:07:26] - "Aircraft in Searchlight." Ground shot of plane flying whilst illuminated by a searchlight.
[17:07:38] - "Planes and Marks in Sky." Ground shot showing vapour trails - con trails in a blue sky. The next shot is of a flight of six B-17 Flying Fortress filmed from the ground as they fly over at high altitude. The following shots are of vapour trails being formed by planes at a very high altitude, filmed from the ground against a bright blue sky.
[17:10:38] - "Planes." Biplanes flying in RAF colours. They fly in close formation, obviously at an air display. There are also shots of them using coloured smoke and flying loops in close formation.
[17:11:12] - "Corner Shot - Squadron of Planes." More shots of Biplanes in close formation flying displays.
[17:12:06] - "KRRC LY." (King's Royal Rifle Corps.) Close-up ground shot of a pile of hay with something sticking out of it.
[17:12:17] - "Hurricane Taking Off and Flying Over Grnd. A. Bad. B. Medium." First shot is from the ground of three Hurricanes taking off in close formation and flying off at low altitude. Next shot shows a flight of three Hurricanes shot from another plane. The final shot shows three Hurricanes flying below the altitude of the plane from which they are being filmed. The filming plane's wing and RAF insignia come into shot.
[17:12:46] - "Hurricane Dive Bombing." Very short shot filmed from the ground of two Hurricanes showing dive bombing maneuvers.
[17:12:49] - "Stuka's Dive Bombing B/W." B&W newsreel footage of Stuka's.
[17:13:06] - "Camera Gun - Planes in Combat." Various gun camera shots in B&W of planes being shot down.
[17:13:35] - "Hurricane Ground Strafe." Various shots, shot from the ground, of Hurricanes flying very low demonstrating strafing techniques.
[17:13:47] - "Bombs Falling B/W." Various B&W shots of a bomber dropping sticks of bombs. Also a shot of aeroplanes on the ground being hit by bombs and a shot of aircrew opening bomb bay doors.
[17:14:30] - "Bombing and German Planes B/W." Various B&W shots of German bombers, mostly filmed in flight. They can be seen dropping bombs, flying in close formation and the film also shows their crews.
[17:18:40] - "Camera Gun - Machine Gunning Ship." Very poor quality B&W footage of various ships being strafed by machine gun fire from planes.
[17:19:04] - "Planes Stunting." More ground shots of biplanes flying in close formation, performing loops and barrel rolls.
[17:21:05] - "Balloon in Flames." Shots of a barrage balloon catching fire. This looks like a test for an escape method for the people who manned the barrage balloons. At the very beginning of the shot a body can be seen falling from a basket below the balloon and what looks like a parachute opening up. The balloon bursts into flames, collapses and falls to the ground.
[17:21:56] - "Bomber Missing Motor Boat B/W." This runs backwards on my viewing copy. It shows bombs dropping either side of a boat.
[17:21:43] - "Squadron Against Clouds." A squadron of unidentified small planes flying at high altitude.
[17:21:53] - "Blenheim Shadow." The Shadow of the Bristol Blenheim which is carrying the camera zipping across the water.
[17:21:58] - "Looping Glider B/W." This is backwards and of poor quality.
[17:22:09] - "Planes and Paratroopers Dropping B/W." B&W footage of three German planes dropping sticks of Paratroopers.
[17:22:21] - "Stuka Diving on Tramp Steamer." BW gun camera footage of a Stuka diving towards a ship.
