Description: [05:33:58] - (VE Day?) Tilt down showing numerous flags on the side of a building. Red and white ensign.
[05:34:27] - (VE Day?) W/S of South African Embassy London with people lining the roof and the balconies.
[05:34:40] - Several C/U shots of people packing the balconies. South African, Australian and various other flags can be seen draped from the balcony.
[05:35:27] - W/S of a road in London thronged with people. As we watch first a group of military outriders goes past on their motorbikes then a car drives past with an open top. There are military officers sitting in the back of the car. A second car comes past with military brass waving in the back, then a third with a single officer. Finally three horse drawn carriages pass the camera, the crowd can be seen to wave and cheer as in the first carriage Winston Churchill takes off his top hat and gestures to the crowd.
