Description: Foundrymen work on the giant hand; the thumb and fingers are winched off the base. Measurements are taken of parts of the hand (partly staged - director can be heard giving instructions). Close-ups of the pommel of the sword, which is on a nearby table. Welding is carried out on a section of the hand. The thumb is worked on. Views through the structure of the hand show the workshop; other sculptures can be seen, including the crouching figure of a woman.
