Summary: Amateur film shot by Mrs Hilda Verdin, a housewife and professional pianist, records procession of Air Raid Precautions (ARP) personnel, including Air Raid wardens wearing uniforms and helmets, and some female Ambulance Attendants, parading along Wickham Road (outside No 46, the basement flat being the Verdin family home) in the South East London suburb of Brockley, in Deptford Borough (now Lewisham), on a day in July 1940, prior to the London Blitz. Parade includes her husband Henry Verdin (Royal Fling Corps veteran) and neighbour Stanley Tippett.
