Summary: Using titles and filmed reconstruction, the film shows a simulated search and rescue operation in which an ARP rescue party attend a bombed house.
Description: Onn arrival at the house, the "leader" and "runner" search for injured people. The runner is sent for first aiders. The first and subsequent rescues are made by a variety of methods to suit a number of contingencies eg a gantry for a basement rescue, a jib for a first floor stretcher case, a lifeline where a staircase is dangerous, a floor shored up to effect a cellar rescue. Afterwards, equipment is checked and a roll call is taken.
