Description: Troops serving with the 5th Battalion Durham Light Infantry and the 74th Field Regiment RA receive an enthusiastic welcome from the inhabitants of the village of Chandai as they motor eastwards along the N24 bis on motorcycles and in Bedford QL and Fordson WOT6 3-ton lorries, Fordson WOT2 and Bedford MW 15-cwt trucks, jeeps and Universal carriers; the crews of a White scout car carrying signals equipment and a Fordson WOT6 lorry (both with the 74th Field Regiment RA) are given glasses of wine as they halt briefly during their advance from L'Aigle to Beaufort.
