Summary: The 5th Royal Horse Artillery's 'C' Company goes into action outside the village of Nijnsel in support of the 7th Armoured Division.
Description: The sergeant in charge of the Ram Sexton self propelled gun "Lili Marlene" passes 25-pounder projectiles to the other members of his gun detachment on board the SPG, of whom one is seen stacking the shells in an ammunition bin in the fighting compartment. The 25-pounder gun is brought into action against German 15th Army units seven thousand yards away between Boxtel and Shijndel; empty charge cases are thrown out of the Sexton and are left smoking on the ground nearby. The SPG is seen recoiling on its tracks as two more rounds are fired and moving to a new firing position; note the prominent troop, battery, unit and formation signs (particularly the distinctive 'jerboa' emblem of the 7th Armoured Division).
