Summary: British soldiers and French civilians receive dental treatment at the hands of 50th (Northumbrian) Division's dentists.
Description: Inside the Mayor's house at Juaye-Mondaye, a dental officer serving with 48th Field Dressing Station RAMC's dental section drills the teeth of a patient serving with a 30th Corps unit; the corporal orderly pours water into the rinse bowl beside the left arm of the patient who rinses his mouth out in a pause in the drilling. The cameraman focuses on the dentist operating the foot pedal of the foot-powered drill. A lance corporal serving with the 50th Division soldier each have a tooth removed. The orderly sorts out dental equipment lying on a side table while the dental officer drills the teeth of a 50th Division signaller.

During the Second World War he joined the Royal Armoured Corps, transferring to the Army Film and Photographic Unit in 1943, when he received training at Pinewood.
