Summary: A Japanese prisoner of war (POW) is escorted to a POW cage near Imphal by a number of African soldiers.
Description: A British soldier stands by the roadside opposite a sign marked 'POW' (prisoner of war); a tent is pitched in the background. A lorry arrives and an African soldier (an askari) jumps down from the back. The lorry passes the British soldier. A Japanese prisoner stands on the back of the lorry, guarded by two African soldiers, with two more following on foot. Brief shot of an African soldier walking up to a British soldier, probably a military policeman. The Japanese prisoner is escorted into a POW cage; he carries a sack on his back. Two askaris leave the cage and a British soldier closes the gate behind them. Sign reading 'POW Office'. Alternative angles of the previous footage; lorry arriving and passing camera. The Japanese prisoner, under escort, passes camera. Japanese prisoner enters the POW cage through a corrugated iron gate marked 'Identity Check' which is closed after him. The prisoner is walked along an inner path and through a second gate at which a British soldier stands guard.
