Description: A battalion of the Gordon Highlanders, of which White was Colonel-in-Chief, leads the procession through the streets, with the coffin on a gun-carriage. Lord Roberts, on horseback, leads the mourners.
The men of the expedition are on board the SS Highland Scot. The cameraman rows out to meet the ship as it approaches the port. On the deck members of the expedition pose for the camera, first Lieutenant Prestrud, then Lieutenant Gjertssen, then Mr S Hassel, all in civilian clothes. A general shot of members of the expedition (Amundsen is not specifically identified).
The municipal road sweepers pass through the streets of New York, in a parade which includes their water wagons.
The airship is shown in flight over the city. The caption says that it exploded and was destroyed shortly after its arrival.
