Notes: Summary: in the wake of problems during the Falklands War, 1982, the Royal Navy's Project Hulvul was a lengthy series of trials to investigate explosion damage, fire and crew escape in various compartments of a Royal Navy vessel. The trials were carried out on the decommissioned Leander Class frigate «HMS Naiad» (officially renamed «Hulvul» for the trials) between 1987 and the sinking of the ship in the Atlantic on 28 September 1990.
