Summary: Film documenting work by the Royal Armament Research and Development Establishment (RARDE) into ways in which a bomb can be quickly contained, greatly reducing the damage caused when it goes off. The substance chosen for this purpose was high-expansion aqueous foam. Experiments are shown in which a blanket of foam provides a high level of protection for surrounding people and buildings against blast; these experiments include the use of a foam blanket in a city street, deployed by fire engine. A military vehicle fitted to deploy foam, known as the 'Foaming Pig' is also featured.
