Description: Messerschmitt Bf 110s intercept Flying Fortresses (camera-gun film) and a Lancaster burns after being hit. Oberleutnant Graf shoots down a barrage balloon over Berlin which has broken free and bursts into flames. Women in a control centre chart the course of bombers approaching Berlin and sound alarm. In the street a tram, bus and horse cart stop, tramway repair workers down tools and passengers calmly enter air raid shelters. Fire engines drive through the streets in anticipation of the terror bombing. Back in the control centre a girl with headphones sits in front of map of Berlin districts which lights up. 8.8mm Flak opens up against the bombers with vapour trails visible. Abrupt end.
