Description: Cedric Thornberry (voiceover) says that Russian involvement in peacekeeping has developed in a remarkable fashion over the last ten years. The turning point was the Namibia operation in which Russian officials played a key part. Slow-motion shots of RUSBAT marching, boxing and weightlifting. Thornberry says that there are now Russian peacekeepers, military observers, policemen and now, the first Russian battalion.
