Description: During a brief visit to Caen, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Mr Winston Churchill, accompanied by General Montgomery, C-in-C 21st Army, and Lieutenant-General Dempsey, GOC 2nd Army, stops off to inspect the two Class 40 Bailey bridges built over the Bassin de l'Orne by the 5th and 31st Field Companies, Royal Canadian Engineers. Riding in Montgomery's Humber staff car, "Old Faithful", the three men talk to Canadian sappers on "Churchill" bridge and then cross the Orne over "Winston" bridge where they meet more Canadian troops.
