Summary: Film shot from a smallcraft underway in a LCT assembly area, in and around Southampton.
Description: MCU of afterpart of LCT(4) 500, and pan along the vehicle deck to the starboard bow - the LCT is underway - rating flakes down rope on the focsle. MLS from camera craft underway in estuary - LCT(4)s line the shore, secured by the head, and tugs are anchored in midstream. Cut back to LCT 500 as she passes the camera to berth between a small jetty and a second craft, LCT(4) 7068. Camera craft tracks right, past LCTs berthed on opposite side of the jetty - LCT(4) 1019, 969, and 652 - and then turns, to follow the line of the quay, and tracks from port bow to stern of LCG(M) 119 secured alongside - beneath the LCG's port quarter lies motorboat 079, of Camper and Nicholson's, with a small skiff carried in the stern sheets. Final sequence shows LCT 500 and 652 manoeuvring prior to berthing.
