Description: I. "Britain's winged army." Item on Britain's new volunteer force of paratroops opens by showing the "misery caused by the German invaders in every land they have ravaged" (scenes of paratroop drops, bombing, removal of a Czech street sign, weeping civilians, "forced labour"). British paratroops will soon play a big part in restoring freedom to Europe and the world, although at the present time they are still being trained. Film shows the men on parade and participating in a typical exercise, dropping from Harrows in quick succession before making a mock attack. Item closes over film of the exercise with the song "Victory Vee" which includes these lines: "Conquer we must, Our cause is just, Britain shall win."
