- Description: I. 'INSPECTION OF SPECIAL CONSTABULARY. Inspection of the L Division of Metropolitan Special Constabulary by the Inspector General.' In a London park the Special Constables - some in civilian dress with 'SC' armbands - march past the Inspector General. In the background are spectators sheltering under umbrellas and the park trees. II. 'SERVING THEIR COUNTRY. The horse which was wounded in the Battle of Loos, still doing his bit for the Country, helping the women working on an Essex farm.' Women use sickles to clear tall grass, hoe between rows of potatoes, feed piglets. The horse, wearing a halter, is led on to take a drink from a trough - a woman rides him side-saddle. More feeding of piglets. III. 'IN MEMORY OF HIS FATHER. Master Henry Illingworth opens the Percy Illingworth Institute at Aldershot in memory of the late Liberal Whip. Mrs. Lloyd George and General Sir A. Hunter follow immediately behind the two boys'. MCU of Mrs Lloyd George talking with General Sir Archibald Hunter, C-in-C Aldershot Command. The two sons come in from frame left - they are wearing white and an adult minder holds the older boy's hand. The boy's facial expressions lack the required solemnity, presumably due to nervousness. The procession moves off past the camera. IV. 'SCOTS GUARDS AT VERSAILLES. The men of the Scots Guards delight huge audiences by dancing national dances to the music of the pipes'. Pan over Guards' band. LS as they march through gardens playing pipes - a crowd of locals keep pace with them - two young women laugh to see the camera present. MS as Guardsmen perform a sword dance. 'HELPING FRENCH CHARITIES. A successful fête held a Versailles in aid of the various French War charities.' More sword dancing - some of the watching crowd have raised umbrellas against the spray from a nearby fountain. MS, Guards' band. HA.LS over the crowds in the palace grounds.
