Description: I. 'THE GUARDS SPORTS: Lifeguards give a demonstration of horse jumping over difficult obstacles, at Windsor'. Showjumping exhibition in an open field; it is raining, and the field is overgrown. The sequence involves shots of a horse refusing to jump and demolishing a fence.
II. 'LIBRARY AS HOSPITAL : Lord Islington opens the Public Library at Holloway. His lordship chats with the inmates after the ceremony'. Shot of the library building: it now has a sign on it reading 'Great Northern Central Hospital MILITARY SECTION B'. Lord Islington stands in the grounds and delivers a speech. Afterwards he meets a seated line of soldiers.
III. 'ROYAL REGATTA AT RICHMOND: The 141st Annual Watermen's Regatta, held in aid of the Richmond Royal Hospital. One of the chief items - a water polo match'. Scenes of the water polo match taking place in the river; it is raining. (Footage apparently taken from a boat.)
IV. 'LORD ROBERTS MEMORIAL: Unveiling ceremony by the Right Honourable Countess Roberts at Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow'. Many dignitaries pass by the camera; shot of the memorial, still draped in a Union Jack. Countess Roberts stands on podium and unveils the statue; dignitaries salute. Final shot of Countess Roberts and others on the podium.
V. 'LORD FRENCH AT GLASGOW: Presentation of Distinguished Conduct Medals to Heroes who fought in France under Lord French'. Lord French gives medals to individuals from various regiments, including some in civilian dress, at an open air ceremony. A line of naval officers and ratings stand in the background.
