Summary: Ferid, a Muslim from Zenica, writes to his brother in Croatia about the effects of the war on family and friends and his work with Handicap International.
Description: Ferid sits in the scrub by the side of the Bosna. He says that their family are alive and healthy but many houses have been destroyed. Footage of the Handicap International centre where Ferid and his wife, Jasmina, work with people who have lost one or both limbs. He helps them to learn to walk again with a prosthetic limb. He says that it is difficult but in the end the work is rewarding because people leave satisfied. He sends news that their father and mother are fine. They spend their time working in the garden and knitting respectively. They all hope to see him soon.
