Summary: An open letter from Bill Tribe from the UK who worked for 35 years as an English teacher in Sarajevo and has returned to resume his life and job in the Bosnian capital.
Description: Bill Tribe describes the conditions at the university in Sarajevo. As he stands outside the main building, he says that the heating is not working and so it is a very cold place to work and study. He says that even though "we are working in a completed ruined interior...Sarajevo is still alive". He says that cafes are still open and students are still coming to the university especially to study English, which is the most popular course. There used to be eighteen faculty staff but now there are only six and so he urges those that have moved away to think about coming back.
