Description: I. 'LORD FRENCH IN IRELAND. New Viceroy chats with guard of Mons men at Dublin Castle.' After the ceremony of being sworn in as the new Lord Lieutenant, Lord French inspects the honour guard mounted in the Upper Yard at Dublin Castle - he speaks with several of the men. 'Mr. Edward Shortt, K.C. M.P. New Chief Secretary.' MS of Shortt in formal wear - he smiles and looks off to the left.
II. 'AMERICAN LABOUR DELEGATES' VISIT TO THE FLEET. They were deeply impressed by British Navy's readiness.' MS as delegates come onboard from pinnace alongside to be greeted by the battleship's officers. They are shepherded off along the deck.
III. 'BELATED, BUT KEEN FOOTBALL. Canadian Army XI. put up a good fight against Londoners at Nunhead.' The two teams enter the playing field and the game begins, watched by a sparse crowd.
IV. 'RECENT "FRENCH OFFICIAL" ILLUSTRATED. After a successful attack at ..... we captured a few hundred prisoners.' French cavalry escort a column of German prisoners through a town - the French carry their carbines at the ready rather than the customary sabres.
V. 'ITALIANS CROSSING THE HEIGHTS. Reinforcements moving up to a threatened sector.' HA.LS down steep slope as Italian troops file down a narrow path - a convoy of lorries is moving in the valley below. The heavily laden troops march along the main valley road.
