Summary: British film of Portuguese Field and Heavy Artillery men learning about their guns and limbers, probably France, summer 1918.
Description: The film opens with an unrelated shot of troops digging a trench line. It continues as Portuguese mule-drawn field gun limbers come down a steep grassy bank towards the camera. The men break formation on reaching a 9.2-inch howitzer concealed under scrim netting, and proceed to load and fire it twice. A posed group of the gunners with a British guncrew - one of the soldiers offers a plate of food to another. The gunners pull camouflage matting over the shells for the gun. Nearby three British gunner officers stand in conversation with each other.
