Summary: Army Instructional film in which Land Rovers and three-ton trucks are waterproofed for amphibious operations. Different levels of waterproofing are used, depending on the expected depth of water, and the kits provided are laid out and itemised. The stages of preparation, from the initial workshop phases, through the water crossing and on to deproofing once ashore, are given in detail. The driving technique required for entry, fording and exit from the water are also described, and the recovery of a stuck vehicle by a specialist Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) vehicle is also demonstrated.
