Summary: Army Instructional film on the applications of work study in the Army. Work study is a process by which it is possible to find better, more economic and more efficient ways of doing things. Examples given include a new accounting system for Army stores, the loading of an infantry section and all related equipment into an FV432 armoured personnel carrier, ammunition handling for the 175mm self-propelled gun and, from an early stage of design, all aspects of the Rapier surface-to-air missile system. The loading of ammunition into a Chieftain tank is described as a more detailed example of a problem addressed by the Army's work study group. The film also describes the use of film as an aid to the work study process, and briefly discusses the composition of a work study group.
