Description: I. Pre-dawn shots of 1st Battalion the Parachute Regiment advancing in Iraq (very murky image). The sky lightens as the advance continues. Abandoned clothing and grenades at roadside. Gazelle and Lynx helicopters fly past. Abandoned Iraqi mortar position and various ammunition is discovered; later, a further abandoned position in a hut is searched. (5 April 2003).
II. Members of 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment patrolling in Basra: WMIK Land Rover on road, snipers in position by roadside. Soldiers advance on foot by roadside (the area is stable; civilian vehicles drive past in the background). Challenger tank moves up. Members of the Red Crescent remove bodies (on stretchers, covered with blankets) and lay them in the back of an open pick-up truck. Soldiers continue advance. (7 April 2003)
