Description: Part of the ship's company assembled in front of the bridge tower, which shows the ship's crest and battle honours of Rabaul, German New Guinea and Samoa. A flag officer (no clear view) presents one of the ratings with a medal for his part in the Zeebrugge raid. Signal flags are raised and lowered as an exercise, with a semaphore arm in the background. A posed group of part of the ship's company. Another assembly on the focsle, the chaplain emerges and gives a brief service, following which an officer addresses the men. The men take exercise running round the deck and up and down the companionways. More of the crew are shown in close-up hauling the signal flags up and down, and loading shells on board the ship from a sling.
