Mountbatten at the salute by a flagpole decorated with a chinthe, or mythical Burmese guardian creature, the emblem of 12th Army. Mountbatten's staff car, escorted by military police jeep, draws to a halt at 552 Indian Infantry Workshops, Indian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Mountbatten is met by Colonel Fisher, 12th Army's Deputy Director Mechanical Engineering. Close-up of Mountbatten speaking to an officer. He inspects a radio under repair.
