Description: (Reel 15) The episode starts with 'Justice'. Lloyd George, as Minister of Munitions, gives a public speech from an Army staff car. A montage of women and men operating various metal presses, drop hammers, forge hammers and lathes, including manufacture of nose-caps for 18-pounders, hoists for 9.2-inch howitzers, and the manufacture of a 15-inch gun. A 12-inch railway gun being prepared for firing. A 6-inch Mk VII stuck in the mud with its tractor disabled. The Chinese Labour Corps at a light railway depot. The 12-inch railway gun still being prepared. A 15-inch shell marked "To Willie With Compliments" and a 15-inch howitzer being fired. A Chinese band and stilt walkers, "the men of the yellow race had their own diversions too". (Reel 16) Stretcher-bearers of the RAMC giving first aid. Nurses at a Casualty Clearing Station with heavily bandaged patients in bed. Women ambulance drivers of the VAD doing maintenance and driving work.
