Summary:First of three parts, detailing 'phase one' of UK-USA bilateral compatibility trials. 'Phase one' is intended to establish compatibility between the RAF and US Army in the field of personnel and cargo para drops. The film illustrates American drops from British Argosy and Beverley transport aircraft. Equipment and vehicles are dropped before dummy and then live parachutists. A balloon cage for parachute training is seen briefly. Harvard aircraft escort in order to film the action. Much of the action takes place near RAF Abingdon. Commentary states that the trials ended successfully.
