Summary: Unedited rushes concentrating on logistical aspects of preparation by Royal Corps of Transport (RCT) for forthcoming campaign in desert of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait against Iraqi forces.
Description: I. RCT vehicle movements on desert road.
II. Activities of 414 Tank Transporter Unit, RCT. AS90 self-propelled gun is driven onto the back of a heavy equipment transporter; first attempt to drive on is unsuccessful (not straight enough). Close-ups of cab of transporter. Panning shot along road shows a series of transporters lined up for departure; two FV432 troop carriers manoeuvre into position. Vehicles begin to set off.
III. Medium shot (from static camera) of heavy convoy moving slowly along desert road; vehicles are widely spaced. Occasional civilian cars drive past. Vehicles pass camera position; crew of Humvee watches.
IV. Scenes in dockyard at Al Jubayl: camera pans along lines of ISO containers and parked Land Rovers, and around the rest of the dockside complex. Dock workers (probably 17 Port and Maritime Regiment RCT) attend as a landing ship approaches: ramp lowers (very slowly), Lorries can be glimpsed inside. [Abrupt end]
