Summary:
Description: I. "England again." Highlight scenes from the England-Scotland soccer match at the Villa ground, with a record gate of 66,000. First Lord of the Admiralty Right Honourable Albert Alexander is the guest of honour. England achieves her tenth wartime victory over Scotland.
II. "Retribution." Item uses 1940 film of Hitler returning in triumph to Berlin after his victories in the West, and receiving a rapturous welcome from the civilians in the capital, to argue that people who so obviously rejoiced then now fully deserve the punishment they are receiving day and night from Allied air raids on their city. Film shows one such air raid, USAAF Fortresses on a daylight raid during which 2500 tons of bombs were dropped in 45 minutes. Cloud partially obscures the high aerial view of the raid although the Reichstag building and Unter den Linden thoroughfare are apparently visible.
