Summary: 621st Field Squadron RE supplies drinking water to formations serving with 30th Corps in the Mont Pincon sector.
Description: Bedford MWC and Canadian military pattern water trucks queue up to receive their quota of purified water provided by the three Patterson water trailer purification sets seen here. A pumping arm drawing the lime chloride solution into the water being pumped from the stream nearby is seen in action. A canvas reservoir tank with a capacity of 1,200 gallons is seen containing the treated water which a 'putter' engine pumps into the tank of a CMP water truck; a Fordson WOT2 truck with a water trailer in tow is seen queuing up to collect water for 4th (?) Survey Regiment RA. A sapper turns a stop-cock regulating the flow of purified water from the "Stellars" to the reservoir. The early-pattern CMP water truck has its tank filled. A Bedford MWC water truck from a 12th Corps RAOC unit motors towards the water point's exit along Sommerfeld tracking.
