Description:I. Workmen and servicemen watch Montgomery enter and leave Babcock and Wilcox Engineering Company's factory at Renfrew.
II. Montgomery inspects a Home Guard guard of honour at the Scottish Wholesale Co-operative Society's works at Shieldhall. Civilians in the factory courtyard listen to his speech relayed over loudspeakers. Surrounded by cheering admirers, Montgomery leaves the factory.
III. Montgomery leaves Glasgow City Chambers, having dined with the Lord Provost and Council.
IV. Montgomery leaves the North British Locomotive Construction Company's works.
V. Montgomery arrives at the Albion Motor Company's works. Inside he is accompanied by the works manager. He addresses the workers. The camera examines the various insignia on his Rolls Royce limousine. He leaves the factory.
VI. Montgomery's train, 'Rapier', is drawn up at Crookston Station near Glasgow. Montgomery enters his limousine. At Galston, Ayrshire, he inspects British and Allied troops serving with the Special Air Service Brigade and 'Phantom' Signals - in particular Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Blair Mayne (also known as Paddy Mayne), Colonel Durand, Commandant Bourgoin, Captain Conau (the last three Free French), Captain Blondeel (Belgian) and Major Astor - and gives them a 'pep' talk. With him is Brigadier Mcleod.
