Description: On the fifth anniversary of Great Britain's declaration of war on Nazi Germany, armour and soft-skinned transport belonging to the 2nd Armoured Battalion Irish Guards crosses the Belgian frontier near Rongy. Together with lorried infantry from its sister regiment, the 3rd Battalion Irish Guards, the 2nd Battalion heads through the industrial quarter of Antoing to the applause of some of its citizens.
